Lio & Associates has been responsible for developing every edition of the Code and Construction Guide since its inception. The Code and Construction Guide for Housing provides Code users with pertinent information so they can better understand and apply the Building Code’s technical requirements. The document informs and educates builders and officials across the province on Code theories and strategies using technical drawings and explanatory text.

First issued in 1990, thousands of copies of the publication have been sold to builders, renovators, trades, suppliers and building officials across Ontario. The publication has been used to clarify and interpret aspects of the Code in countless instances.  It has become a valuable resource for Code users across the province.  In addition, jurisdictions in other parts of the country have adapted the publication for their use including federally by the National Building Code.
